Our Covid Protocol for Kindred Oak Farm

Hello, thank you for considering our B&B for your possible stay here in Paso Robles. We appreciate you taking the time to read our COVID-19 protocol for when we reopen our B&B to guest stays. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call us. It is our hope that this protocol will answer any questions you may have as to what we are doing to here at Kindred Oak Farm to ensure the safety of our staff, our guests and ourselves when we open our doors again.

For the Farm and our Staff:

We have a Worksite Specific Plan in place that we implement with all the staff members and help that comes into Kindred Oak Farm. This Plan trains employees with a risk assessment and measures on how prevent the spread of the virus. With this plan in place, I will consistently check for compliance from all that work or come here to help me work. This plan includes staff training on control measures and self-screening, Cleaning and disinfecting protocols, physical distancing guidelines for all staff will be expected.

What we will be doing prior to your stay for your safety:

We will be thoroughly cleaning all high traffic areas. Frequently disinfecting commonly used surfaces. All touchable surfaces (i.e. tabletops, door handles, light switches, faucets etc.) in the B&B and in the guestrooms will be cleaned with products approved on the EPA list for COVID-19. We will have hand sanitizer available for you to use. We have closed the ventilation system and each room now has their own individual Heating and AC system via split units. We are going back to our Friday – Sunday operating schedule with two-day minimum stays. This will ensure that the rooms will be vacant for longer than suggested 24-72 hours. All linens will be changed, cleaned (as usual) including the mattress pads, duvet covers and pillow protectors. We are removing all past magazines and will be placing only new untouched magazines in the room.

What we will be doing during your stay for your safety as well as ours:

We ask that you give us an ETA of your check -in so we can try to stagger guest arrivals. We are changing our Breakfasts to allow a contactless meal service. We will be using the social distancing for the breakfast service as well, by allowing each room to have their own table that will be more than 6 feet apart. Guests will also have the option for in-room dining as well. Guests will have the option of using private entrances from outside the B&B into their room which minimizes the amount of times spent in public areas. The mid-stay room cleaning will consist of coffee station refresh only; we will not be allowed to make the bed nor pick up towels until you have checked-out. We will kindly be declining any handshakes and we may likely be wearing masks upon your check-in, and during breakfast food service.

We look forward to your stay and we especially look forward to meeting you. We want your stay to be as welcoming and relaxing as possible. We hope that with this protocol you can be assured we are doing our part to protect our guests and ourselves during this pandemic. We certainly appreciate your understanding and patience in this difficult uncertain time.

See you soon!

During the current shelter in place in San Luis Obispo County, we have temporarily suspended taking reservations for our bed and breakfast. We have decided to resume taking reservations when local restaurants and wineries reopen. Our reservation system remains open for future reservations past June 1st. Once we do reopen, we will open with the standards the California Department of Public Health have advised Hotel and Lodging establishments to follow. For more details on what those standards are click this link to see what we will be doing to ensure your safety as well as ours. We do appreciate your patience and compassion during these strange times, and we do hope you come see us soon. Until then, please remain healthy.
